Experience
- As CTO and Vice President of Technology at Reflexite Corporation for 11 years, I successfully managed and improved Reflexite's high precision optical microstructure technology development to support an average company growth of 15% per year for the last 10 years.
- I also established a new technology and new product foundation to assure a successful future for the company.
- As Technical Manager, Engineer and Scientist at Polaroid Corporation's optical component development and division for 21 years, I:
- Managed a multi-disciplined 85 member manufacturing, engineering and technical organization which developed and manufactured 100 million lenses per year.
- Successfully team managed Polaroid's optical molding, coating and assembly business during the companies peak production volume years, demonstrating that production outputs 40% above normal could be achieved by introducing high levels of component and assembly automation.
- Started the precision optics OEM business which is now a separate company called Precision Optical Systems Corporation.
- As technology leader on the Board of Directors of the Reflexite member companies including Fresnel Optics USA, Fresnel Optics Germany, The Precision Technology Center, Rochester, New York and the World Wide Retroreflective Business, Avon, Connecticut, I successfully guided the technical growth of each business.
